Focus

Translation has changed fundamentally over the past thirty years, both regarding the identity of those offering translation services and the technology used to get the work done. In the market place, increasing consolidation has led to a series of mergers, from which ever larger companies have emerged.    In the technology field, computer-assisted translation, machine translation, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning have combined to automatize large parts of what used to be a labor-intensive manufacturing industry. 

However, this has not necessarily made translation markets more transparent. It is this transparency that I aim to achieve, both for my consulting clients and in my own translation work.

Background

While my academic background was originally in linguistics and the humanities, my translation focus has been on the fields of business, law and the social sciences for the following language pairs:
